  1. Install vsftpd: apt install -y vsftpd
  2. Edit /etc/vsftpd.conf and activate/modify these lines:

  4. local_enable=YES
  5. write_enable=YES
  6. chroot_local_user=YES
  7. allow_writeable_chroot=YES
  8. pasv_enable=YES
  9. pasv_min_port=40000
  10. pasv_max_port=50000
  11. --- Create a dedicated FTP user ---
  12. adduser ftpuser
  13. mkdir -p /home/ftpuser/files
  14. chown ftpuser:ftpuser /home/ftpuser/files
  15. --- Open ports in iptables ---
  16. iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT
  17. iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 40000:50000 -j ACCEPT
  18. netfilter-persistent save
